C. Usage Data
We automatically collect:
- AI estimate results and historical rate snapshots (Premium tier)
- Browser type, IP address, and device information
- Pages visited and features used
- Session cookies required for authentication
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide our core service: Generate AI-powered insurance rate estimates across multiple carriers based on your profile
- Operate your account: Authenticate your login, manage your subscription tier, and store your policy data
- Improve our estimates: Refine our estimation engine accuracy (using aggregate, de-identified data only)
- Communicate with you: Send password reset links, account notifications, and service updates
- Ensure security: Detect fraud, enforce our Terms, and protect against unauthorized access
3. How We Store and Protect Your Information
- Your data is stored in an encrypted database hosted on Microsoft Azure
- Passwords are hashed using ASP.NET Identity's secure hashing algorithm and are never stored in plaintext
- All data transmission between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only
While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic storage or
transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the platform (e.g., Microsoft Azure for hosting). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal compliance: When required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable government request.
- Safety and rights: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Sygma, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your information would remain subject to this Privacy Policy.
Important: Our AI estimates are generated entirely within our platform. We do not
transmit your personal information to insurance carriers. Estimates are algorithmic calculations,
not actual insurance quotes.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use the following types of cookies:
- Essential cookies: Required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled.
